Kelci noble - Coach/ Co-owner

Kelci enjoyed playing multiple sports throughout her childhood, starting with soccer at the age of 4. She continued soccer and played volleyball throughout high school. She received her Bachelors in Health Sciences from James Madison University and remained physically active throughout college.

As an adult, Kelci enjoyed spending time outdoors in the beautiful mountains of VA and hiking with her pup, Roxi. She dabbled in long distance running and other fitness routines, but never found anything she was passionate about until a friend invited her to try CrossFit in 2016. She hasn’t found the exit door yet.

Kelci loved the community atmosphere of CrossFit, and it wasn’t long before she realized she wanted to help others experience it as well. To that end, she earned her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate in March of 2018.

Kelci moved to Raeford, NC with her husband in 2018 and began working at CrossFit Raeford where she now coaches CrossFit and other auxiliary classes, in addition to managing day-to-day operations for the gym. She looks forward to continuing her own CrossFit journey, including competing with her husband and friends in local competitions, as well as helping others achieve their own fitness and health goals.

LeAnna was introduced to sports at an early age.  That introduction fueled her competiveness since she was a child.  She focused on fast pitch softball and swimming in high school.  After high school, she continued her softball career into college, as well as with the Puerto Rican Olympic National team.

LeAnna’s love for athletics and passion to help others reach their goals led her to coach softball, baseball, soccer and gymnastics for both adults and children.  Her love for the outdoors and staying physically fit inspires her to participate in mud runs, 5ks, 10ks, and marathons.  She has also directed multiple 5k races.

After 10 years of racing, LeAnna decided it was time to try something new. In the fall of 2015, LeAnna was introduced to CrossFit and decided to take a break from her running shoes and lace up some lifters. Due to her love of CrossFit and the pure joy she receives from helping others reach their true potential, she decided to become a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. She is always excited to help others in their CrossFit journey and pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.

LeAnna is a military spouse and mother of 4 very active kids and uses her fitness and nutrition knowledge to teach her children how to live a healthy lifestyle and participate in sports as respectable, fun-loving athletes.

Angela Merritt- Coach

MJJ03668.jpg

Angela has always been drawn to physical activity and possesses a healthy competitive spirit. She has participated and competed in gymnastics, track, basketball and horseback riding. Because of her love and drive to be active and her natural ability to lead, she was recruited by her high school PE teacher to substitute classes in the teacher’s absence.

Years later, Angela quickly became bored with her gym routine and set out to find a new challenge, finally discovering CrossFit in 2009. It was love at first lift. Again, due to her love and genuine passion for the sport, Angela was recruited by her coaches to assist with and lead Mommy and Me classes, Intro Classes and membership recruiting when she wasn't competing.

Angela is always looking for a new challenge and enjoys pushing the envelope. She can often be found in class encouraging others to challenge and push themselves to meet their goals and achieve a greater level of fitness. Angela truly enjoys taking new members under her wing and helping them to soar on their own.

Angela is a mother of two. During both pregnancies, she continued to Crossfit and also competed in CrossFit competitions. In 2013, and several months pregnant, she placed 6th in the Spartan Mud Run. Her hobbies include lifting, competing, anything outdoors and spending time with her husband and children. Angela also received her birth doula certification in November 2014 from New Beginnings Doula Training.

Angela joined CFR in January 2016 and immediately fit right in. Today she can be found at the top of the athlete leaderboard when she isn't coaching.

Keith Smith - Coach

Keith has always been active and is a true competitor at heart. From an early age, he was involved in football, basketball, baseball, and track. With Keith’s athletic lifestyle, he thrives on pushing the limits of his strength and conditioning. Keith’s excellent physical conditioning has given him a great foundation for his career and has been integral to his success in the US Army.

Keith was first introduced to CrossFit in 2010, but did not join a gym until 2012 when he realized that working with a quality coach is the most important aspect of CrossFit.  Once in the gym, Keith was hooked and has since continued to improve his form, technique and conditioning through greater CrossFit experience, knowledge, and skills.

Keith finally combined his passion for CrossFit and his desire to develop others by becoming a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in 2015.  He now seeks to take his knowledge and skills learned through training and a variety of experiences and pass them on in order to inspire others to become who they want to be.

Keith constantly states that his only CrossFit regret is that it took so long for him to find the sport.
